Meditation classes
An 8 week introductory Mindfulness-based Stillness Meditation course will commence early May 2010 in each of Ballarat, Ballan and Daylesford, Victoria. This will involve a 1.5 hour session once a week over the 8 weeks. This is a comprehensive and practical course, appropriate for beginners and experienced meditators, a great way to commit yourself to establishing a regular meditation practice over the 8 weeks and experiencing the benefits for yourself.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
- How to meditate
- The nature and benefits of meditation
- A range of meditation processes including: the relaxation response, the specific technique of Mindfulness-Based Stillness Meditation, and deeper meditation techniques (contemplation, imagery and stillness)
- How to integrate meditation into daily life.
- How to reinforce and maintain meditation practice.
- Problem solving and special situations
This will be achieved through a combination of theory and practice. This is a highly experiential program.
